Leadership

Brian has been a follower of Jesus since a Vacation Bible School at FBC Heath in the summer of 1983. He has been married to Kathleen since August, 1 1998. They have four children. He has served as the pastor of FBC Rusk since August 2018.  

Jeff met Jesus at Pineywoods Baptist Encampment when he was 12 years old and surrendered to ministry at the age of 16. Jeff has had the privilege of serving as Worship Pastor/Senior Adults since 2012 and has a strong passion to lead others to "always through Jesus, offer  a sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming their allegiance to His name." Hebrews 13:15. Jeff is married to his wife Sandy aka Lolli and loves to hang out with their grandkids.

Derek is a Palestine, TX native and has been working in youth ministry for 14 years. He spent 10 years in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area before coming to Rusk in 2020. He is married to his wife of 11 years, Lana. Together they are raising their two boys, Zach and Ben. Derek is passionate about seeing teenagers coming to know Christ and growing into spiritually maturity in their walk with Him!

Crystal and her husband Tim have two daughters that are both grown. She has been with the church since 2018. Crystal is outgoing, friendly, and loves Jesus! It is her goal to make people feel welcomed, safe, and loved.

David has been on staff at the church for over 6 years. He is married to Cindy and they have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. He also serves as a deacon and teaches one of the adult Sunday School classes.

Keeping Christ in the center of her life is essential. Katy is grateful to serve, worship, and be a part of the staff at FBC, Rusk!

John and his wife Melissa have two small children, Finn and Penelope. John's goal is to make sure that the quality of our audio and visuals that we use matches the quality of our worship of God.
